The concept for Non-Linear Careers

comes from our personal experiences and those of many of our close friends and colleagues as they re-engage into the workforce or volunteer their time to non-profits. and success.

We believe there is tremendous human capital that is not on the radar screen of the current job market and, as a consequence, significant economic and personal costs.

Non-linear candidates come in many forms but have one trait in common – they don’t have traditional backgrounds for the roles they seek. This leads to their exclusion in the world of algorithms and high-volume recruiting.

Non-Linear Careers is fundamentally different because it is based on transferrable skills and reduces hiring risk through short-term project work.

While hiring organizations can benefit greatly from engaging with these workers (e.g. greater diversity, a larger field of choice and candidates with unique capabilities) - matching the non-linear candidates with internal openings is complex, time consuming and often appears risky.

Michael is our chief executive and is the innovator behind Non-Linear Careers. He is a strategic thinker who has advised and lead dozens of organizations, large and small. Mike spent years incubating the idea of helping people transition to new careers based on the skills they developed throughout their life.
